GAME INSTRUCTIONS
After School by Ateliersento is a point and click visual novel that is inspired heavily by Japanese folklore
DEVELOPER'S DESCRIPTION:
After School is a short videogame entirely handpainted on paper, using pencils and watercolors. It's a collaboration between students in Game Art at ECV Bordeaux (backgrounds, characters & animations) and Atelier Sentô (story, music & programming). It was done in 2 days during a masterclass.
After School already is a full version. Take it as a novella. It was only an exercice to show the student anyone can make a game with watercolor and paper.

PLAYPLAYFUN'S IMPRESSION ON AFTER SCHOOL:
After School is heavily influenced by the Japanese folklore and stories. The story and its mystery reminds me of the movie
Spirited Away.
So, you begin your adventure controlling a girl who seems to be infatuated to a guy behind the window. From this, the adventure begins. I can't reveal anymore of the storyline. It is for players to find out!
The game is, unfortunately, very short. You can finish the game in 10 minutes. Everything in the game is quite intuitive and self-explanatory. The art style and story shine like a star in After School. At the end of the game, I can't help it but to wonder what happen. Moreover,
you will be wishing for the game to have a sequel or a continuation of the story somewhere.
Overall, After School, despite its length,
definitely captures my attention by its story and art-style much like when I review the popular
Message Quest game. If you are a fan of this game, be sure to check out Ateliersento's upcoming games,
The Coral Cave.
